About a terminal

The Agrofood terminal in Astrakhan’ is a high-tech logistic complex situated in an important transport hub, what helps us to service domestic and international supplies including key export routes via the Caspian Sea promptly.

The terminal provides a full range of services for the transshipment and storage of agricultural products.

The terminal is capable of providing loading speeds of up to 350 tons of grain per hour, which allows handling large volumes of products with minimal time costs. The ability to work with several river-sea ships at the same time ensures flexibility and speed of logistics operations.

The terminal has maximum mechanization at all stages of cargo handling. Starting from automobile reception and ending with belt conveyors for loading the ship.

Product acceptance

The process begins with the acceptance of grain at the terminal. Products arrive by rail or road, after which they are unloaded in the acceptance area. Quality control is compulsory: specialists take grain samples and analyze them according to key parameters – moisture, purity, naturalness and other indicators. This ensures that only products that meet standards are delivered to the terminal.

Placement in a warehouse

After passing quality control, the grain is moved to warehouses for storage. Depending on the customer's needs, we offer both short-term and long-term storage. The terminal warehouses are equipped with storage conditions monitoring systems: optimal temperature, humidity and ventilation are maintained, which allows preserving the original quality of the products throughout the entire placement period.

Embarkation and discharging planning

Logistics planning for embarkation and shipping grain begins in parallel with storage. We take into account vessel schedules and other logistical factors to ensure maximum processing speed and avoid downtime. The terminal has the ability to simultaneously handle several river-sea vessels, which provides flexibility in planning operations and minimizes waiting time.

Transshipment and embarkation onto ships

The terminal has a transshipment capacity of up to 350 tons per hour, which allows for the processing of large volumes of products at high speed. If necessary, floating cranes and barges are used to speed up the process and reduce transportation costs. Our specialists control each operation, ensuring the accuracy and safety of loading.

Paperwork and cargo support

When all stages of preparation are completed, the grain is loaded onto ships for shipment for export. We ensure continuous monitoring of the cargo status, providing customers with real-time information on its location and expected arrival dates. Due to its strategic location in Astrakhan', our terminal has convenient access to river and sea routes, which allows us to send cargo to international markets promptly.

Throughout the entire process — from acceptance to shipment — grain undergoes strict quality control.
